Bont Riot TR+, the worlds only carbon composite heat moldable entry level triathlon shoe.
The Riot TR+ combines Bont's pro series technical features including theirpower transfer platform and anatomical shaping with competition grade materials to create the most technically advanced entry level triathlon shoe.
Features
Microfiber Upper -Microfiber upper is used to provide the Bont Riot TR+ with a strong outer layer to withstand the rigours of everyday cycling whilst mesh inserts assist with the breathability of the cycling shoes.
Carbon Composite Construction -The carbon composite construction of the Riot TR+ has been Heat Moulding specifically designed to ensure maximum performance at low weight. The fibreglass tub style construction of the chassis has been strengthened with the inclusion of carbon across high stress areas. The carbon has been sandwiched between layers of the fibreglass to maximise strength.
Retention System -Independent double velcro closure system to allow for maximum adjustability. The main strap has been designed to allow it to be maintained in a fully opened state to assist in quick transition times.
TPU Toe Protector -The toe protector can protects the front area of the shoe from wheel rub and impact.
Ventilation -The Bont Riot TR+ is highly ventilated via integrated top mesh panels and ventilation holes throughout the side microfiber panels.
Last Design -A last is a replica of a foot that the cycling shoe is built around. Last makers do not make cycling shoe lasts, they only make shoe lasts so perfecting a cycling shoe last requires a great deal of expertise in functional biomechanics and ongoing research. At Bont, theyhave been perfecting their performance footwear lasts since 1975 and the process is ongoing. Theybelieve theyplace more importance and thus place more effort into their last than any other cycling shoe brand and it is the reason that Bont cycling shoes continue to be a leader in providing the most functional and correct anatomical support to cyclists than any other brand on the market. Their motto in terms of cycling shoe fit is simple, "We make shoes for cycling, not walking."
Medial Longitudinal Arch Support -Structural medial longitudinal arch support is provided in all models to stop over pronation of feet.Over pronation is one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees during a cyclists pedaling phase due to internal rotation of tibia and femur. This can result in knee injuries. In addition, the rotation of tibia/femur can cause the pelvis to tilt resulting in lower back strain.
Anatomical Forefoot Shape -Conventional cycling shoes offer a "dress shoe" type shaping. Although highly aesthetic this will cause the toes along with the metatarsals to be overly constricted, compressing the nerves between the metatarsals which often results in the common "hot foot" sensation.Bont cycling shoes anatomical shaping allows the foot to function in its most efficient and anatomically correct position. The foot is supported in its endeavour to relax through the metatarsal joints allowing the pedalling force to be spread across the greatest possible surface area.
Anatomical Heel Cup -The anatomical heel cup shaping of Bont cycling shoes provides increased stability during the pull through stage of pedaling stroke and up stroke. This stabilisation is achieved without any mechanical operation or over tightening of straps/laces allowing for increased comfort and blood circulation.
Lateral Forefoot Support -Bont's lateral forefoot support ensures neutral positioning of the forefoot and alleviates common issues associated with over pronation and supination. These issues often result in incorrect tracking of knees causing injuries along with hip and lower back pain.

Size Guide
To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.
Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Following selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.
