If you’re reading this blog, you probably know that Slovenian phenomenon Tadej Pogačar recently won his second consecutive Tour de France — and in a show of dominance rarely seen in the modern era, also scooped up the polka dot and white jersey (for best young rider) while he was at it.

At just 22 years old, Pogačar becomes the youngest rider in Tour history to win the maillot jaune twice. He is, by any measure, a once-in-a-generation talent. 

And while Pogačar’s incredible athletic ability cannot be understated, his double-up on the sport’s biggest stage was also a coup for Colnago, Campagnolo, and the other leading brands which supply Team UAE Emirates. 

Put simply: Pogačar is a once-in-a-generation talent, and the Colnago V3Rs is a once-in-a-generation machine.

Ultra-light and aerodynamic, Colnago’s top-of-the-line race bike weighs in at just 790g (in size 50s in raw disc version with the metal parts placed and glued).

The total integration of the cables, which pass inside the stem and the pivot of the fork, lends the entire bicycle an aesthetically flawless look. 

In addition to the Colnago V3Rs frameset, Pogačar’s bike was equipped with top-of-the-line Campagnolo wheels — his exact choice of rim depending on the demands of the day, with the new Bora Ultra WTOs coming in handy on the faster stages thanks to their improved aerodynamic profile.

Pogačar and his team were also kitted up with Campagnolo’s “feather in the cap”: the Super Record EPS 12-speed groupset.
