The Bont Riot, renowned for it's world-class performance and anatomical power transfer platform is now available to the masses.
Delivering competition-level fit and construction with a micro-adjustable buckle and Velcro retention system, the all-new Riot takes entry-level road cycling shoes to the next level.
Features
Microfiber Upper Is Utilised -The all-new Riot buckle features a lightweight, anti-stretch microfibre upper construction designed to withstand the rigours of everyday cycling. Micro-mesh inserts, combined with specifically placed ventilation ports provide breathability across all seasons.
Fiberglass Construction -The fibreglass construction of the Riot has been specifically designed to ensure maximum power transfer.
Micro Adjustable Buckle Enclosure -Bont's classic Z-form Velcro is anatomically placed and combined with a micro-adjustable buckle to ensure a set and forget fit with all-day comfort at the heart of design.
Micro Grid -Bont Cycling's Micro Grid allows for greater accuracy in cleat placement and adjustment.
Ventilation -Micro-mesh inserts, combined with specifically placed ventilation ports around the toe bumper provide breathability across all seasons.
Last Design -A last, a model replica of the foot of which a cycling shoe is built around, has been a driving force behind Bont Cycling's performance-driven footwear since 1975 and continues to be a key component in delivering shoes suitable for Tour de France winners through to the everyday commuter. At Bont, elite-level construction, efficiency and comfort is available throughout the range with cycling biomechanics - how the foot reacts and responds under the stresses of cycling - used to design the world's most technologically-advance cycling footwear.
With a deep passion and focus around functional design and anatomically-shaped construction, Bont has continued to raise the bar when it comes to cycling shoe last design. Bont's mantra is 'to make shoes for cycling, not walking' and while all-day comfort, walkability and convenience remains at the core of all Bont's shoes, every model is born out of a desire to provide its wearer with simply the best product for support and efficiency.
Medial Longitudinal Arch Support -Structural medial and longitudinal arch support design is provided in all Bont Cycling models to provide the most anatomically correct pedal stroke available.Bont's last arch support is designed to prevent over pronation of the feet due to internal rotation of the tibia and femur - one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees during the pedal stroke - to minimise injury risk to the knees and the lower back.
Anatomical Forefoot Shape -Bont's anatomical shape provides the foot with the most anatomical, functional and efficient pedalling platform ever seen in cycling. Years of research into cycling biomechanics has demonstrated time and time again the way in which the forefoot reacts under peddling forces - with the toes spreading out across the largest surface area available within the shoe. While conventional cycling shoes present a narrower and aesthetically pleasing frontal area, the restricted nature of its design constricts and limits the nerves between the metatarsals -often resulting in the common 'hot foot' ailment. The wider and more anatomically correct design of all Bont shoe's allows for a more relaxed metatarsal joint positioning with a larger surface area provided in the forefoot, resulting in greater comfort and efficiency from toe to heal.
Anatomical Heel Cup -The anatomical heel cup shaping of Bont cycling shoes provides increased stability, comfort and blood circulation during the entire pedal stroke, with significantly more support provided during the upward stroke. This additional stabilisation is achieved soley through anatomical heel cup design without any additional mechanical operation or tightening of the Z Velcro Strap or Micro-Adustable Buckle.
Lateral Forefoot Support -Bont's lateral forefoot support ensures neutral positioning of the forefoot and alleviates common issues associated with over pronation and supination. These issues often result in incorrect tracking through the pedal stroke causing knee, hip and lower back-related injuries.

Size Guide
To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.
Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Following selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.
