BRAKING® is ready to revolutionize the concept of braked: an action as simple as braking will become a new experience... You won't believe your fingers

- Independent

- Trailing-link
F.I.R.S.T. is the new braking system gtom BRAKING®, unique and completely renewed in its main characteristics, precisely the FIRST of a new era (that's why the name F.I.R.S.T.) . A completely new project, 100% Made in Italy and CNC worked, the result of experience gained on the competition fields and the feedback collected from the 5 years of In. Ca.S. "F.I.R.S.T." guarantees tailor-made braking thanks to the new design that will allow you to manage the ergonomics of the brake REGARDLESS of the hydraulic adjustment. An outfit that every rider can customize through the choice of various possible customizations. This brake is suitable for everyone, perfect for each discipline and customizable according to the different needs of each rider.
WHAT HAS CHANGED:
- Lighter, stiffer master cylinder and caliper. It weighs 60g less than IN.CA.S. 2.0
- New hydraulic regulation INDEPENDENT from the lever position adjustment
- Possibility to easily change the link and therefore the reaction arm of the lever, for increase power up to (+26%) compared to IN.CA.S. 2.0.
- New, thinner pump cartridge with more holes for lubrication and polished piston chamber for better piston flow
- New master cylinder tank with increased oil volume (+10%) and easy oil draught even in inverted position
- New diaphragm system and pump cover for precise separation between oil and air. Avoid problems such as oil emulsions, sudden lever voids, air problems after operating the lever with the vertical bike, and finally better management of the oil volume change
- Simpler bleeding procedure - with built-in bleeding nipple in the highest position, to make bleeding faster and more effective
- New caliper mounting holes, for better and faster centering of the caliper on the frame
- New pad pin with safety clip
- Modified caliper O-ring housing geometry and tolerances for better piston roll-back and faster oil flow
- Possibility to install 3 mm thick discs directly - without the need for spacer, and without disassembling the caliper.
- All this makes F.I.R.S. T. superior to IN.CA. S in terms of customization and performance possibilities, but above all it makes the system EASIER to assemble, bleed and maintain.
Customisable Cartridge
F.I.R.S.T. (and IN.CA.S) are the only brakes on the market to have the possibility to replace the cartridge, changing the diameter of the piston to change the braking action.
With the 9mm cartridge you have a more linear but more powerful braking action. The smaller area ensures higher pressures in the pipes (more power), while the lower flow rate of fluid means that a greater stroke of the lever is necessary to transfer the same volume of fluid to the caliper (greater modulation)
With the 10mm cartridge you have a more immediate braking action at the beginning of the stroke but less powerful. The larger area develops lower pressures in the pipes (lower peak power), while the higher fluid flow rate means that the lever stroke to transfer the same volume of fluid is lower than the 9mm cartridge stroke (less modular, more
WHAT HAS IMPROVED IN F.I.R.S. T.
- EASY to assemble - The clamp slots have been enlarged.
- EASY to bleed - bleeding nipple and cartridge with double holes.
- EASE in aligning the caliper - Greater ROLL-BACK of the pistons and grains for alignment.
- EASE in adjusting the lever - SEPARATE lever and hydraulic adjustment.
- EASE in adjusting the volume of oil in the reservoir - No more attention to the oil level, it must be filled completely.
- No Vacuum, now air and oil are separated by the new membrane.
- Pump better handles ail volume changes.
- Lower risk of bent tubes when the pumps are plugged - The tube now comes out more parallel to the handlebar.
WHY 2 PISTONS?
4 pistons no longer mean power. It's just a matter of hydraulic ratio and volume. Our cartridge works with twice the pressure of another system and our pistons are huge (diameter 26mm)
With two pistons you have better oil control, and the pads can work in parallel and better aligned with the discs.
Two pistons are easy to service. With 2 pistons, the ORs are larger and drive the pistons better. The hydraulic ratio is extremely favorable for the size of the pump piston, and with 9mm cartridge the system is extremely modular. Two large pistons have larger chambers and less hassle to connect, creating less air retention and facilitating purging.
