The Campagnolo H11 Ultra Torque Crankset is designed with the intention of being used with the H11 groupsets, which is the Campagnolo disc brake standard.
Campagnolo has succeeded in providing the same level of exceptional drivetrain performance as the Campagnolo rim brake groupsets.
Technologies
Ultra-Torque- Campagnolo found a way to permanently conjoin the semi-axles of the bottom bracket to the respective crankset arms. This redesign made it possible to considerably reduce the lateral dimensions at the axle level and prevent annoying contact with the ankles when turning the pedals. Assembly is simplistic: one single oversize bolt is enough to integrate the two semi-axles. Regarding torque transmission efficiency, this system is equally as effective as a single piece axle. Furthermore, despite the narrow side profile, Campagnolo managed to position the bearings outside the bottom bracket shell, resulting in greater axle rigidity from the increased axle diameter. This breakthrough was obtained by using an ingenious mechanical system derived from many years' motoring experience in the rotation axle and engine shaft coupling design known as the Hirth joint.
Features
Hollow carbon crank arms and a hollow spider, it provides maximum stiffness at a competitive weight.
Designed for Disc Brake Hub Spacing.
The H11 crankset standard is required for use with H11 Ergopower shifter/brake levers for true drivetrain efficiency.
Crank spider has been placed outwards from the frame to adjust for 135mm and 142mm disc brake hub spacing without needing to change the Q-factor.
