The Etixx Nutritional Energy Gel provides quick energy through a unique sugar mixture. Carbohydrates are the primary fuel for prolonged endurance events, and it is important to maximize carbohydrate stores before exercise. During prolonged activities, consuming additional carbohydrates helps maintain performance and prevents fatigue by keeping blood glucose levels steady and replenishing muscle glycogen.
If no carbohydrates are consumed, muscle glycogen is depleted after approximately 90 minutes, which can lead to severe fatigue. The amount of carbohydrates needed depends on the length of exercise.
How Many Carbohydrates Should Be Taken During Exercise?
- Exercises <1h: No need to consume carbohydrates during exercise
- Exercises 1-2h: 30g of carbohydrates per hour (~1 energy gel)
- Exercises 2-3h: 60g of carbohydrates per hour (~2 energy gels)
- Exercises >2.5-3h: Up to 90g of carbohydrates per hour (~up to 3 energy gels)
The Etixx Nutritional Energy Gel’s tri-phase sugar blend includes glucose and maltose (fast sugars), sucrose (semi-slow sugar), and complex sugars (slow release). This combination allows for both immediate and sustained energy during long efforts. Glucose and fructose use different absorption pathways, enabling the body to absorb more carbohydrates efficiently, compared to using only one sugar. This concentrated form of sugar provides large amounts of fuel without the need for consuming large volumes of liquid, which can cause digestive discomfort.

Instructions
- Take 1 sachet 10 minutes before exercise
- During exercise: 1 to 2 sachets per hour of effort
Note: Kidney patients should not exceed 200mg of vitamin C per day due to the risk of hyperoxalemia.
