Introduction to the Jet Plus Disc Track
The Jet Plus Disc Track wheel is for occasions when all out speed is required. A fully sculpted carbon profile encases a "skeletal" wheel ensuring an optimum blend of aerodynamics and efficiency. HED's Jet Plus Disc wheel utilise the aforementioned "skeletal" construction technology. This technology mates with standard "Plus" wheel as seen within the Ardennes collection with an aerodynamically sculpted carbon "skin" to offer an unbelievably quick platform that optimises clincher tyre use.
Lower Rolling Resistance and Increased Cornering Grip
Almost implausibly low rolling resistance is catered for with a wider "Plus" aluminium tubeless-ready clincher rim format. This format uses a 25mm external and 21mm internal platform that widens the rim-to-tyre interface. This helps the tyre reside on the rim with a much superior cross sectional profile and further enhances tyre sidewall stability. This morphs the tyre-to-track contact patch into a shorter but wider impression resulting in lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip. The improved tyre cross sectional profile then increases the internal tyre volume which in turn grants the possibility of much lower tyre pressures. This results in much improved comfort levels, even across rougher, outdoor tracks, without an increase of dreaded rolling resistance.
Attention
The anodised aluminium section of this rim is not suitable to use with rim brakes. This rim is suitable purely for disc brakes.
The max tyre pressure with 23mm tyres is 90psi if you are using a standard clincher and inner tube configuration, 80psi if you are running tubeless.
