MET Codatronca Short Tail Aero Helmet
The MET Codatronca is a short tail aero helmet designed to stay fast in multiple head positions, making it a great choice for time triallists and triathletes. Unlike long-tail helmets that only work well if you hold a fixed position, the Codatronca maintains aerodynamic efficiency even if you move around on the bike. Developed and tested in wind tunnels at Politecnico di Milano, it’s built to combine speed, comfort, and practicality.
The helmet features a wide profile that helps guide airflow over the shoulders, reducing turbulence and drag in a natural problem area. For triathletes, the Fidlock magnetic buckle allows fast, one-handed fastening in transitions, while the integrated magnetic visor (with anti-fog coating) provides a clear, wide field of view in the aero position.
Ventilation is handled by three low-drag intake vents, carefully placed to let in enough cooling air without disturbing the aerodynamics. Comfort pads are washable, and the Safe-T Orbital retention system makes it easy to fine-tune fit.
