The Shimano Deore XT SL-M8130 shift lever achieves smooth and reliable shifting performance thanks to LinkGlide technology. Its fast response ensures smooth shifting and optimal control on aggressive Trail rides. The adaptable ergonomics also benefit controllability.

Proven features such as Rapidfire Plus, 2-Way and Instant Release are of course also on board with the M8130 shift lever. The right shift lever allows two gear changes with the main lever or the secondary lever in both directions. The Deore XT shifter is suitable for 11-speed drivetrain systems and matched to the E-Bike components of the Shimano STePS EP800 series.

In addition, the SL-M8130-IR11 shifter features the I-Spec EV construction known from the XTR M9100. With this technology the shifting levers can be mounted directly to the brake lever, what makes it possible to dispense with a clamp and to significantly increase the adjustment range. I-Spec EV allows 14 mm for longitudinal and 60 for rotational adjustment so that each rider can make a setup to suit his or her individual anatomy or preferences.

Technologies

I-Spec EV:With its wider adjustment range, I-Spec EV levers can be adjusted to the optimal position to match a wider range of riding styles (ENDURO/XC/etc.), rider preferences and rider anatomies (hand and arm alignment).

I-Spec EV increases brake lever rigidity by moving the brake clamp position inward to create an extra point of contact between the bar and the lever. This additional bracing drastically increases bike control and braking engagement while maintaining space between the clamp and support point for other handlebar accessories.

2Way-Release:The RapdiFire Plus shifter release lever is commonly called a trigger because it is operated like a pistol, by pulling toward the grip. The release lever of RapdiFire shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in this same manner but adds the ability to activate a release shift by pushing with the thumb.

LinkGlide:LinkGlide consistently delivers smoother, more even pedaling while shifting that you can barely feel at your feet. LinkGlide's optimized shifting gate design that creates a smoother handoff between cogs to avoid the jumps that can impact shifting and pedaling smoothness. This design improvement is especially pronounced on outward shifts where pedaling shock is more noticeable due to the larger forces involved.

LinkGlide's re-designed cassette teeth have a substantially thicker base and a unique chamfer that drastically improves wear resistance in high torque applications. This increase in cassette durability prolongs smooth driving performance and lengthens the amount of time before chain skips caused by wear start to happen.

Rapidfire Plus:Mountain bikers have used Rapidfire Plussince 1985. Rapidfire Plus is still a winning choice from a wide range of riders from XC racers to freeriders. Rapidfire Plus is suited to quick shifting, giving riders the ability to downshift three gears in one stroke. Rapidfire Plus shifters from Deoreto XTR all feature 2 Way Release, which means release shifts by pull of the index finger or push of the thumb.

Instant Release: Instant Release shifting replaces the two-stage click and release shifting you are familiar with. Instant Releaseshifting releases cable as soon the lever is activated, resulting in the quickest possible gear changes. Whether it is an upshift with a top normal rear derailleur or a downshift with low normal rear derailleur a quicker shift is always a better shift.
