DOT 5.1 is hydraulic brake fluid from SRAM that works to give you better performance for longer. As brakes heat up the fluid absorbs heat from the system causing the fluid to lose its' effectiveness. 5.1 can absorb far more heat than previous fluids allowing great performance for longer in even the most demanding conditions.
