The Practical Helmet for Kids
Kids these days they love to ride, sometimes fearlessly, and they have more trails, bike parks and fun places to shred. Bell designed the Sidetrack II to keep up with them it features an all-mountain shape with lower coverage on the rear of the head. The ready-for-action style, complete with a cool visor, gets young riders motivated to ride. And the Ergo Fit system with new No-Twist Tri-Glides makes it quick and easy to get them going. You get all-around performance for little rippers.
MIPS Science in Motion
MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain's own protection system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the strains associated with rotational acceleration, we might reduce the risk and severity of brain injury. In an accident the head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration can cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. The stretching of the tissue that can be caused by these motions can result in various types of brain injury.
Construction
Fusion in-mould polycarbonate shell - a process pioneered by bell bonds the helmet's outer shell to the eps foam liner to create a sturdier helmet.
Fit system
Ergo fit - sleek, easy-to-use dial system for one-handed adjustments.
