Features
Design -The new MTR range starting with the 450MTR is versatile, light and strong and above else extremely relevant to today's modern rider.
Like the entire ByK Range, this is not a scaled down adult bike. Every single component has been considered, tested, custom sized and tuned to suit our rider's profile. Our unique ergonomic riding position and geometry offer a range of riding positions and adjustability unexpected at this size.
Performance -Fitting the potential of riding on gravel paths and narrow tracks but also just as easily ridden to school and around the bike paths, this model has a 3 speed internal gearing system with footbrake, and is aimed as a Mountain and Road style, hence MTR.
Safety -From their responsive handling to increased safety at speed, the MTR sets new standards in safety. The innovative frame improves balance and control to help each rider operate at the safest level possible.
To make a children's bike safe, the rider needs to be able to brake efficiently and confidently. The custom-sized V-Brakes we have used are calibrated for age, ability and ergonomic fit. And they are made of non-flexing, strong and light alloy. Our light weight alloy rims ensure pedalling is easier. But more importantly alloy rims are a more efficient braking surface than cheaper, chrome-plated steel rims, and are therefore safer.

How To Determine Your Size
ByK Bikes are not categorised by the old imperial sizings of the past (like 12", 16", 20", or 24"). They use the metric system to describe their wheel sizes as 200mm, 250mm, 350mm, 450mm, 540mm and 620mm. Please use this chart to determine the bike size best suited to your young rider.
