For this release Crankbrothers has partnered with Pump for Peace, the charitable arm of Claudio Caluori's Velosolutions, in a bid to finance the building of new pump tracks in impoverished regions of the world. Twenty percent of the proceeds of all Pump for Peace Limited Edition Mallet Lace and Stamp Lace mountain bike shoes will be donated to Pump for Peace.

These Crank Brothers Mallet Lace SPD MTB Shoes come with a Match shim and a CrankBrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position so they are ready to ride with CB pedals right out of the box. The ramped Match Box cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. A Race Zone setback on the cleat track allows the cleat to be positioned further toward the heel for added control and stability when descending.

Outsole Hard Enough To Hold Up To Wear And Tear
Crank Brothers Match Compound outsole employs their mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) for easy pedal entry and exit and it's hard enough to hold up to wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to provide a smooth release from the pedal body. The tread pattern also offers impressive traction off the bike. Directionally angled, and spaced, toe and heel lugs offer traction for hiking up or down steep terrain. Additionally, the ramped toe serves to provide walkability on steep terrain.
