The AERO+ concept is a more comprehensive approach to wheel development and optimization. The redefined rim shape elevates performance beyond classic aerodynamic parameters of translational and rotational drag.
Increased Rim Inner Width
An increased rim inner width allows for the mounting of broader tyres that can be ridden at a relatively lower pressure. The ensuing increased shock absorption capacity benefits the rider, particularly on long rides with an improved cushioning of the wheel. Mounting the same tyre on a rim with an increased inner width allows the tyre to assume a more rounded shape which increases its contact area with the ground and therefore grip and traction of the wheel.
