EX 1700 SPLINE wheels are based on their successful 36t Ratchet hubs combining it with a super strong and welded 30mm wide aluminium rim. The rim profile is designed to withstand the hardest of Enduro racing while still keeping the weight low for long and demanding uphills. Light and Strong Rims
DT Swiss have chosen to build a quality set of alloy rims into a quality wheel set known and valued for their low weight, high quality and strength. Welded top notch alloy rims, and in combination with DT Swiss' unique PHR nipple-spoke interface washer which distributes the load on a large area, they have been able to reduce the wall thickness while keeping the rotational mass low.
Lighter, Great Power Transmission
The DT Swiss 350 Hub is equipped with the DT Swiss very successful Ratchet System. What makes the Ratchet System hubs truly unique is the fact that all the teeth of the two ratchets engage simultaneously and create a large contact surface to transmit huge torque. The result is the legendary reliability of the Ratchet System. Thanks to the no-tool concept, the hub is very easy to maintain and the free hub body can be converted without the use of any tools. For the new 1700 SPLINE the 350 was upgraded with a 36T Ratchet SL system (SL stands for super lightweight). This reduces the engagement angle to 10 degrees, the sweet spot in terms of reliability, weight saving and power transmission.
