Easy Peasy
The cable housing has a Teflon liner to ensure smooth operation of your brakes for many kilometres. After you have cut off the end you don't need, with Jagwire's cable cutter, (remember think twice, cut once) you can take the inner cable out and using the cable cutter, cut the outer to lengths required.
