Maxxis' Minion DHF is the standard by which all other downhill tyres are measured and was designed for the often loose and muddy conditions of all-mountain terrain. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight-line control and precise cornering. Two casings vulcanized with butyl rubber and reinforced sidewalls make up Maxxis downhill casings, which are world renowned for performance and reliability. DH casings provide more stability at high speeds and allow for lower air pressure without the risk of pinch flatting.
