UDOG Tensione Road Shoes With Tension Wrap System
Everyone loves to see an underdog succeed and succeed is what UDOG has done. Born in Veneto, Italy, a region with an impressive cycling culture UDOG stands for underdog and these UDOG Tensione Road Shoes are the first-ever shoe to wrap your feet from the bottom to the top. Because cycling is about pushing and pulling pedals for hours, UDOG founder Alberto Fonte and his team have designed and developed a cycling shoe that follows your feet when pulling up by installing 18 points of contact between the upper and your feet.
UDOG Tension Wrap System
A comfortable and supportive shoe is a foundation of a good ride and this one features a metatarsal dynamic system that hugs the metatarsal area of your feet from the instep to the bridge for an optimum fit. The Tension Wrap System (TWS) enables a more controlled transfer of power to the pedal. It holds your foot in complete comfort during the entire pedal stroke allowing you to be at one with your shoe.
Shoe Upper With Reduced Pressure Points
The UDOG Tensione Road Shoe upper is made of an innovative 3D technical mesh which is light, soft, and breathable. This one-piece design is consciously minimal, eliminating all hardware, plastic, stitching, and metal parts that create bothersome pressure points. The shoes' complex lace-up closure system is what allows UDOG to use these softer materials which are far more comfortable than other standard cycling shoes.
Shoe Laces That Stay Done Up
The laces used in UDOG Tensione Road Shoes have been carefully selected and tested to identify the best shoelaces for a high-performance cycling shoe. Traditional laces tend to loosen while pedalling, and for this reason, the TENSIONE uses special UDOG laces that are flat and pressed firmly without any air inside. This helps to create a rope knot effect that guarantees the laces stay tied during demanding criterium races or long endurance rides. UDOG laces are 100% recycled polyester and PFC free. There's also a storage pocket for the laces on the top of the tongue.
Deep, Narrow Heel Cup & Roomy Toe Box
With a generous toe box that offers extraordinary freedom and comfort the UDOG TENSIONE SHOE looks unique because it is. Hundreds of hours of prototyping and real-world testing have gone into its development. Its impressive features also include the heel cup shape which is deep and narrow with innovative construction to eliminate stitches in the most sensitive area of your feet.
Composite Carbon And Nylon Outsole
UDOG Tensione Road Shoes use a specially designed and developed outsole of composite Carbon and Nylon with a directed ventilation channel, integrated rubber heel, and rubber toe caps for added durability. A large metatarsal platform is provided for easy cleat engagement. A high-performance stiff outsole, engineered for consistent stiffness along the foot, bonded to a breathable, soft, and comfortable upper ensures optimal power transfer. Stiffness index 7.0.
By Far The Lightest Shoe In Its Category
To most cyclists weight is important on all bike components, especially on shoes which is why UDOG Tensione Road Shoes have eliminated all plastic or metal parts, and stitches. They use only the most advanced materials to create a product that is ultra-comfortable, supportive, and lightweight. At 245grams (size 42) the TENSIONE is by far the lightest shoe in its category and will help you to save at least 50 to 200 grams compared to other traditional cycling shoes in the same price range.
Care & Instructions
Wipe clean with a cloth dampened with plain tap water. Do not use solvents, paint thinners or harsh chemicals. After riding in wet conditions, stuff the shoe with newspaper to absorb any moisture. Store in the UDOG organic cotton shoe bag out of direct sunlight. Cool and dry storage is the best method to prolong the life of your shoes.
