The POC Tectal Race SPIN NFC Helmet has all the safety and performance features of the Tectal Race SPIN and provides added security thanks to the inclusion of an NFC Medical ID Chip. With a RECCO reflector included, it's easier for rescuers to find you. The NFC chip can easily be read by holding an NFC-enabled smartphone over the helmet to instantly give rescuers the information they need at the scene and support them in making the best judgments for treatment in the vital "Golden Hour" immediately after an accident.

An aramid bridge improves the structural strength of the helmet, giving improved protection against penetration.
NFC Medical ID
An NFC Medical ID tag stores your medical profile so any rescuer can instantly access your vital info. Supports most android phones, iPhone 7 or later running iOS 13 or newer. The embedded NFC (Near Field Communication) Medical ID chip stores critical information, such as your name, emergency contacts, blood type, insurance details, allergies, and so on. First responders can then retrieve this in the event you're found unconscious at the scene of a crash. The NFC chip adds virtually zero weight to the helmet, and requires no power to operate.
SPIN Technology
The SPIN system looks like MIPS, but is less complex. Rather than using an elastomer-suspended structure that rotates upon impact, SPIN uses specially developed pads placed in critical locations in the helmet. Those pads shear or move in any direction to produce the same effect. Filled with medical-grade silicone, the pads are also more comfortable than standard helmet pads.
